Collector's Room vol. 01：CÉLINE by Phoebe Philo

Collector’s Room is an ongoing curatorial initiative launched by ARCHIVISM, rooted in its core collection and presented in sync with the Shanghai Contemporary Art Season. The project focuses on iconic series by legendary fashion designers, systematically revisiting fashion archives through continuous collecting, organizing, and research to delve into their enduring creative legacy. Each season, we are dedicated to fully presenting the aesthetic universe constructed by a designer during a specific brand period.

In the exhibition, we delve into the creator’s perspective, striving to articulate their intellectual and aesthetic systems—this constitutes the core content we offer audiences beyond the physical garments. All exhibited classic works are displayed in a gallery setting and made available for collection as complete series, including rare pieces seldom found on the open market. With the concept of recreating a fashion collector’s living space, we craft a unique shopping experience for ARCHIVISM’s core community, allowing visitors to immerse themselves and continuously draw aesthetic inspiration from the brand’s heritage.

Collector’s Room aims to offer a distinctive perspective on viewing and collecting fashion. It liberates garments from conventional, functional display contexts, repositioning them within the realm of art appreciation and collectible works, thereby reshaping how people perceive, understand, and ultimately acquire fashion.
