OPEN ME, AND I’LL DROWN YOU

P.art Group's brand space, "P.art Lab," launched a series of projects under the name "EXIT·Experimental Crossover Art Project." This project establishes connections with international resources through diverse and flexible collaborations, and explores innovative curatorial languages, material properties, and creative modes with artists through its unique structural attributes. It expands the cognitive boundaries of art collecting and commercial collaboration, becoming an experimental platform for co-creation and exchange between art, brands, design, and architecture, offering numerous possibilities for future cross-disciplinary collaborations.

Ye Xuecan's solo exhibition, "OPEN ME, AND I’LL DROWN YOU," continues the original intention of the "EXIT·Experimental Crossover Art Project," crossing the boundaries of virtual and reality, past and future, rationality and sensibility, initiating an experiment about the body, emotions, and desires.

We live in an era enveloped by technology, where the boundaries of perception are silently dissolving. Algorithms and devices have quietly become extensions and echoes of the body, rather than cold, impersonal objects. We depend on them, yet are wary of them; we crave connection, yet fear being controlled and swallowed by them. In this context, the exhibition attempts to propose a reverse embrace—do we possess the courage to proactively open ourselves to technology and willingly be overwhelmed by the mixed sense of life it brings? Perhaps it is a life stream that transcends pure rationality and is a mixture of emotion, desire, and memory.
